As a student I can say the 6th grade is a day care. The kids are wild and most of the times the teachers wont do anything ,the food is OK put the people are awful always cursing and want to get in a fight .
I currently a student as of 2016 and I admit it. It is horrible. If you think of putting your kid/kids here don't.The staff are Horrible and so are the students. If you put your kids here they will be picked on,hurt,and sometimes worst. So don't (Edit): I am now in 8th grade not much has changed.The school is still terrible.
I love the school. I love Ms.Cummings the dance teacher. the core classes needs more work but the fine arts is amazing the sports needs more work though. I only go there for dance, band, and itv.
Mclaughin is a great school i reccomend that you put your kids in here btw they have a great fine arts program
Mclaughlin is not an Place where you should enroll your Child. The school overall is an Terrible Place, teachers are not helpful and most feel Unqualified for the Job. Mclaughlin is known for its Fine Arts programs, but those are slowly disappearing. Each year the Budgets for the programs get lower and Lower, severely limiting the Students. The school can barely even sustain the 2D Art and 3D Art program. 6th Grade feels like an Playground, 7th Grade seems to be the Grade with the Most School fights, and 8th Grade students seem to be more controlled but are still wild. Don't even get me started in the school lunch.
