The individual who wrote the last review must have some type of grudge against the school and staff. My son has attended Vanguard for the past 3 years. When he entered the school, his reading comprehension was at the 4th grade level. After intensive work on his part, accommodations provided by teachers and unique teaching strategies used effectively by the teachers, my son now has an ACT composite score of 28!
I went there from 79-82 .. ..I firmly believe it changed my life... great staff back then and quality education... they brought up my math skills and encouraged my writing talents ..They cared that I actually learned with out memorizing .. Great school and made wonderful friends from all over the world who I stay in touch with to this day..

I challenge anyone to visit the school, spend a day and talk with students. You will find a positive atmosphere with happy successful young people who are making significant gains academically, socially, and emotionally.
This school is terrific. The staff is well trained and caring, the student teacher ratio is low and Vanguard has met and exceeded my expectations.The teachers and administrators are sincere and they work as a team to provide a healthy learning environment. Our money was well spent!
