While in the Lake Wales area last week on vacation, our family dog got very sick. She could hardly move, vomited, wasn't eating/drinking, and even collapsed (just laid down on the pavement and wouldn't get back up) on a walk. Since she is almost 12 years old, we thought she might be dying. We took her to see Dr. Thompson, and we couldn't be happier with the service we received. They were very thorough and attentive. Dr. Thompson recommended keeping her overnight for a couple nights and giving her IV fluids and antibiotics. During this time, they gave her some extra TLC by giving her chicken broth and keeping her very comfortable. We are now back home and, while still not 100%, our dog is doing much better. The cost was also very reasonable! My wife even suggested driving back to Lake Wales (2.5 hours) whenever we need a vet in the future. Thank you, Dr. Thompson!
